Oak Beams

We carry a huge stock of air dried  Oak beams for construction work.

Available in sizes from 75 x 50mm to 400 x 400mm and in lengths up to 6 or 7 metres long please call for a quote and any specific requirements

We find air dried beams are a good alternative to reclaimed beams, these now becoming very difficult to source in any length and a good enough quality that is suitable for building back into a refurbishment.

we normally find that these timbers have been stood for a minimum of 18 months and you do not have the same level of movement as with a green beam or the same amount of tanin stains

If we haven't got the exact beam you need we can mill our timber to suit your specifications.

Reclaimed Oak and Elm Beams

The Quality of reclaimed beams are not what they were,  however we keep a good level of  stock, from inglenook beams to room beams

Generally reclaimed beams will be be no smaller than 100 x 100mm in section and maximum is usually 300 x 300mm in section .
